Review Process - General Information

A JBBM  mandate is fostering an Editorial atmosphere that respects the authors' and reviewers' dignity. The review process is viewed as "anonymous group study".   The goal is to search for various ways to improve the quality of the manuscript.

Reviewers will provide comments and critiques in a confidential, constructive and relatively unbiased manner. An author whose manuscript is invited for resubmission is expected to reply to most if not all reviewers concerns in a similar manner. 

All manuscripts submitted to the JBBM are reviewed using a double-blind peer review process. Three reviewers are typically used for each submission.  The authors are informed about the status of their submission in approximately ten weeks (slightly longer during semester intersession).

The Editor has the final authority to accept or reject any manuscript.
