The Critical Accounting Society

 

 

ABOUT THE SOCIETY

The Critical Accounting Society emerged from a series of New York conferences that began in the 1990's.  These major meetings, held every three years, have grown to one of the largest campus based conferences in the U.S. A number of Accounting and New Labor Process Symposia are held several times a year at different locations. Together, these meetings have assembled community of some 2500 scholars, from over 40 countries. 

AIMS AND SCOPE

  • To promote interest in and inquiry into the critical accounting, and labor process writers and practitioners,
  • To facilitate communication and discourse among scholars working in the field of the critical accounting and labor process; and
  • To disseminate knowledge about the critical accounting and labor process.
  • The Society awards annual prizes for the best dissertation, published article and poem on critical accounting and labor process.

The Executive Committee

The members of the executive committee provide guidance and assistance in running the Society's activities, including organizing the annual and occasional meetings, monitoring membership patterns, contributing to the newsletter and affiliated journals etc.

Members will have advanced notice of forthcoming meetings and conferences, rapid access to all journals associated with the Society and special rates for purchase of journals (under negotiation).
